Just Lucky I Guess

I am of the opinion the same as Arnold Palmer.

“The more I practice the luckier I get”

Well travel is no different. I see lots of articles on travel, how too do it right and that sort of thing. This tells me that there must be a huge market of people that don’t travel.

Weather it’s by air, car, train, bus, rocket or Uber ( still not sure who named this company. Sounds like eww and booger if the Jabberwocky would say it) they all take practice.

The articles are always trying to tell you the best way to do things but with no practice this is just fruitless reading. You have to go and do it yourself. You can’t become a better golfer no matter how many issues of Golf Digest you read.

Get out there, leave you norm ( scary I know) and go see it, whatever “it” is. I would think nothing of jumping on a plane right now with no notice and traveling to Iceland. I can learn about the country and make hotel reservation on the plane. Just send me a ticket, I’ll go along for the ride. But I have had a lot of practice.

You can bet an Army Ranger has second thoughts the first time they are going to jump out of a plane. What if the chute doesn’t open? What if I land in a tree? What will be waiting for me on the ground, after I get out of the tree? Well what if you never do it?

After many times of practice they no longer think these things, they will deal with the answers to those questions when and if they actually happen.

It surprises me how many do not travel for there person. Most of these articles instill more anxiety in people that they do trying to help travelers. So I wrote my own article about the do’s and don’ts of travel.

Do it often as you can. Don’t ever stop.

I doubt it will get published to long!

John

    1. It’s the plan not working that gets most people. They worry about it so much it ruins their trip. I’ve had it happen to me. Before I had a lot of practice of course. Planning is great just keep it simple and flexible. A flexible plan I like that.
