Just in Case

Just in case your thinking that we are one of those; I’m going to sell all my stuff and live off the land, we are on a quest for enlightenment, we just don’t know what we want or a this will be so great we will be free kind of families. Think again.

You can’t live off the land unless your a squirrel and even then a hand out of McDonald’s fries doesn’t hurt. We are already enlightened; we got rid of all our stuff. And I think we know exactly what we want, we are doing it and that’s what makes us free.

Some of the most amazing things in this world will be gone some day. The forest, the monuments, the buffalo, the hills and prairie. I want to see them with my family before they are gone and you can’t do that in a vacuum!

I have meet a few great people in our time in Alaska, some of those people I call friends.

Our time here has been an experience far beyond my expectations and our children have done things most children will never even read about. It is not easy to leave.

You cannot gain stability, richness, worth or knowledge without experiencing.

An experience is more than a picture. It’s a picture that can’t be edited, erased or put into storage. It will carve off the rough edges that make you who you are.

Just in case you were wondering.

    1. Not really. I hardly thought about it at all?

Life is a long road, longer for those who only have it for a short time. “If you don’t know where your going any road will get you there”

Thanks for the well wishes Mike, hope to see you in Florida!
