About us!

We are the Gallup’s.

Our family of five, is setting out on a journey to discover the beauty and history of the United States, while working to get closer as a family.

My name is Shawnda, and I’ll be the primary blogger throughout our journey. I’m a mariner at heart, letting the sea, wind, and now wheels take me wherever we see fit.

My husband, John will probably also post on occasion, but he is also busy writing a book about life. He is also a mariner, and has lead us on many of our journeys.

Our two kids, Alex and Addy are in this with us. Looking forward to Homeschool and traveling, though I’m not sure any of us fully understand what that looks like!

And finally, our yellow lab Andie. She seems just fine with camp life, since previously we were too busy between work and life to really give her the attention she needs.

Our blog is primarily to keep friends and family up to date on what we are doing, and to maybe get some ideas of their own.
